After a loooooong hiatus… I have decided to re-launch the show soon with a change in format and increase in shows… (hopefully).
As soon as I have confirmed all the details I shall post here and get to work on the first new episode.

Living in the moment and embracing who you are is exactly the message Keith Urban wanted to portray in the music video for his latest single, “Never Comin Down.”
The song, which features lyrics including “When the sun goes down, stars come out / It’s a…. Can you feel it? / When I take you by the hand, dancin’/ And we pass it around, ’round, ’round/ We’re so high, we could paint the sky/ Tear the top right off the ceilin’ / And I swear we’re never ever comin down / Never comin down / Tell me now, can you feel it? / Never ever, never comin down,” gives off a feeling of exhilaration and enjoying the moment in which you’re in.
The three-and-a-half-minute clip kicks off with a young man sitting nervously in the back of a Lyft, with Urban sitting in as the driver. The man eventually exits the vehicle and makes his way into an electric dance club. The rowdy atmosphere eventually wins the seemingly shy man over, and he leads the dancers in a choreographed line dance to the track.

At the start of 2017, Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye — better known as country duo Maddie & Tae — deemed the months ahead “the year of uncomfortable.” With a No. 1 Country Airplay hit in their repertoire (2014’s “Girl in a Country Song”) and a loyal fan base built, the duo were looking to push their limits as they began working on their sophomore album.
Maddie & Tae got what they wanted, but not quite in the way they’d imagined. By March, Maddie & Tae’s label, Dot Records, had shuttered, leaving them wondering about the fate of their next album — and frankly, their career.
“We felt unwanted,” Marlow admits. “The fear of failure was very real, it was like, ‘We are failing. It’s not our choice, but we’re about to take a big hit.”
Just to let those who still frequent this little part of the internet that for the time being things here at Open Country have been put on hold.
I recently started a new job and it doesn’t leave me a lot of spare time for much of anything, I hope that I will be able to find the time to record a show soon even a short one but for now… the show will remain on hiatus.

Just so you all know… after 12 months away dealing with the lemons that life has been throwing at me.,.. work on Episode #4 begins this week! More specifically… right after I post this… I know some of you will be happy to hear this and I am grateful for your patience.
Also, there may be an additional product to come from Open Country productions just as soon as I’ve planned it out a little more.
So work on a BRAND NEW episode and a potential new show begins…. RIGHT NOW!!

It’s no secret that Carrie Underwood is a diehard Blockhead, so when New Kids on the Block brought their Total Package Tour to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on May 17, she was most certainly there. She even graced the stage for a very special “Happy Birthday” dedication to Jordan Knight!

Loretta Lynn has been moved into rehabilitation after suffering from a stroke earlier this month.
According to a post on the 85-year-old country singer and songwriter’s website, Lynn is now “doing great.”
“Loretta wants to thank everybody for their prayers love and support. Loretta has been moved from hospital facility in to rehabilitation and we’re happy to report she is doing great,” the message reads.
Lynn suffered from a stroke on May 4 at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She was then admitted into a Nashville hospital with the expectation she would make a full recovery.
A message at the time said Lynn had been advised by doctors to stay off the road while she recuperates and upcoming scheduled shows will be postponed.
After a short period of downtime… The site is back up and running and under orders I am planning a new show, hopefully ready for release at the start of June.
Thank you to my fellow network members for putting up with me and allowing me to slack off while I dealt with some personal issues. However, I am about ready to get on with things again and getting the show back out there is a step towards that.
